The process also involves careful manual welding and grinding, superior quality polishing to a nautical finish or brushed to preference, and an extra durable high gloss clear finish. The tabletop is made of tempered glass, available in extra clear, bead-blasted, tinted, or enamelled glass, with a selection of edge finish options.

The design process of Apollo was a two-year journey of research, conceptualization, development, and optimization for production, coordinated from Malta and executed in the EU. The project began with the idea to create an exclusive piece of furniture for five-star hotel and luxury apartment interiors. The form composed of angularly arranged rectangular tubes was selected to keep the weight to a minimum while providing maximal structural stability.

The manufacturing process was not without challenges. Outsourcing manufacturers to fabricate the parts to specification took several months. A workforce capable of top-quality execution for the welding, grinding, and polishing was selected after multiple iterations and prototypes. The quality of workmanship and precision of fabrication was put to the test during the final assembly and placement of the glass tabletop on the pillars.

Apollo is a testament to the synergy of experts in the aeronautical industry, using a synthesis of engineering and design, technology, and hand-crafted manufacturing. The form is inspired by the Apollo 13 lunar module, presenting a monumental symmetrical and minimalistic form, with directed clean lines and precise details, which is associated with power and success. Apollo has been recognized for its design excellence, winning the Silver A' Furniture Design Award in 2022.
